Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
GEI Inc. offers Phase I Environmental Site Assessment services across the Gulf South Region to meet the scope of work requested by financial institutions and public and private sector clients to qualify for the Innocent Landowner Defense, Contiguous Property Owner, or Bona Fide Prospective Purchaser Limitations on CERCLA liability.
GEI's staff has a combined 20+ years experience inspecting all types of commercial and industrial properties across the lower United States.
Phase I Environmental Site Assessments are performed per the ASTM E 1527-13 Standard Practice and EPA’s All Appropriate Inquiries (AAI) Standard Practice as promulgated in 40 CFR Part 312 in order to identify Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs).
RECs are defined by ASTM Practice E 1527-13 as the presence or likely presence of any hazardous substances or petroleum products that indicate an existing release, a past release, or a material threat of a release of any hazardous substances or petroleum products into the structures on the property or into the ground, ground water, or surface of the property.
